Who is SPPS for?

SPPS is for schools that value collaboration as a way to improve outcomes for pupils and support staff at all levels.

The partnership is well suited to schools that:

  • Are committed to high-quality teaching and learning

  • Value inclusive practice and professional development

  • See collaboration as mutually beneficial

  • Are willing to contribute as well as learn from others

  • Want to retain their individual identity while working within a trusted local network

Engagement does not need to look the same for every school. What matters most is a shared commitment to openness, professional trust and purposeful collaboration.

What SPPS is not

SPPS is not a top-down organisation or a one-size-fits-all model.

It is not:

  • A Multi-Academy Trust or a step towards academisation

  • A compliance or inspection-led body

  • A requirement to standardise approaches across schools

  • An expectation that all schools engage in the same way

The partnership exists to support and strengthen schools, not to direct or define them.

How are schools organised within the partnership?
Schools are grouped into regional Hubs to enable closer collaboration, while remaining aligned to partnership-wide priorities.

Who leads the partnership?
SPPS is overseen by a Board of Trustees and supported by a Business Manager and an Educational Consultant.
